A2B AIRWAYS is a new Blackpool based airline, which will use SD3-60s on flights to Belfast and Isle of Man.

ABC AEROLINEAS is a new low-cost Mexican carrier that will begin operation in December 2005 with seven used A320s.

AEROMEXICO began nonstop Mexico City-San Diego service on 7/7/05 with two weekly flights.

AFRIJET will reportedly lease two A330-300s in June 2005. Two MD-82s are also being considered.

AIR BERLIN will begin Nuremberg-Milan BGY service on 1/11/05 with five weekly Boeing 737-400/800 flights. On 1/11/05 it will also begin daily Amsterdam-Palma service with 737-800s and twice daily Nuremberg-Vienna flights.

AIRCRAFT CASUALTIES
|
16/10/04 RP-C1325, BN-2A-21 (593) of Pacific Airways crashed into Mount Tagpao in bad weather, en-route Coron-Puerto Princesa. W/o.
|
9/11/04 9XR-KL, LET410UVP (831017) of El Almiron Plus Corporation made a forced landing in the bush somewhere in Rwanda and was substantially damaged. No casualties.
|
12/1/05 PT-HMP, AS.350B (B-1053/1658) of IBAMA, engine failed and crash landed in a palm plantation near Almeirin.
|
2/8/05 F-GLZQ, A340-313X (289) of Air France overran the runway on landing at Toronto YYZ, after arriving from Paris CDG, during heavy thunderstorms and came to rest in a ravine. The aircraft was subsequently destroyed by fire. All 309 passengers and crew survived.
